All the photos on this page and the galleries inside were taken on one of
the two trips represented by these maps. The Cortina Dolomites trip uses
the town of Cortina as its starting point, and generally traverses the
Eastern side of the Dolomites Mountains. The Bolzano Dolomites trip uses
the town of Bolzano as its starting point, and traverses the Western side
of the mountain range. Both trips are stunningly gorgeous in their scenic

beauty and rich cultural heritage that integrates both Italian and Austrian
roots. It's the sort of place that you'd think would be overrun with
American tourists, but it has remained a hidden secret by the Europeans
for years. In fact, it's hard to find anyone that speaks English, although
they seem to be pretty fluent in most other languages.
