Patagonia is the region that straddles both Argentina and Chile in the
southern half of South America. While it is mostly known for its gorgeous
mountains and glaciers loved by hikers and campers for centuries, there is
also high desert flat-lands and pristine Lake region that can also be
viewed by even the most immobile and sedentary travelers. Yes, thanks
to a rush of tourism and high technology, one can now experience Patagonia
from the safety and comfort of a huge tour bus, equipped with televisions
and bathrooms. But, if you're one of those rare active adventurers that
enjoyes seeing and feeling the actual Earth under their feet, and escaping
to the far reaches of the world to enjoy the rush of adreneline as you
use your legs to hike around the most scenic places left to witness,
