When I was in West Africa, I found these little teapots
everywhere. I mean, everywhere. In mosques, in windows, doorways,
stairs, furniture, and odd places in the streets. What I could never
figure out is, why are they plastic? It turns out that these are not
teapots after all. They are used to store water that is used to wash
your hands after "personal" activities.
