Clare-ification
Killaloe is on the cross-roads between counties and regions in ireland: Munster and Tipperary. The town of Killaloe in County Clare, and the Killaloe Leisure Harbour is in Ballina town in County Tipperary. It is confusing for people who are even from Clare, because they used to be two towns (with two separate post offices), but have since joined... but not in name. Ballina still exist even though everyone calls the area collectively, Killaloe. However, I put it in the "Shannon Region" part of my Ireland series because it's on the River Shannon, which is where most people seem to look for it, and where it's often seen on maps. I'm sure if I were actually from Ireland, I would have all this figured out better, or at least, could explain it better. But, never mind: just go off and view the pictures.
