I love reflections: they tell two stories, the picture in the mirror
and the scene behind it. Sometimes, a mirror tells you what's
behind you and the image lets you look forward and backward at the
same time. Other times, as with the photo on the right, mirrors
represent the simple symmetry of the structure of the world.
Mirrors can distort, sometimes providing humor, while they can also
shock us with startling revelations about how things appear from a
new and different angle. One thing for sure, mirrors provide a view
to the familiar, but always deceive us with the new perspective.
